[ubuntu] got Ubuntu on USB HDD but having problems with changing res in recovery mode
I have installed Ubunutu on a USB HDD. I booted into it on my laptop and everything worked fine.
I have now bought it to college but when i boot up the monitor says it cant display the resolution. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1525 and the college computer is a Dell Optiplex 755. It has an ATI graphics card. How can i change the resolution to something sensible like 1024x768?
any help would be much appreciated thanks.
